Oliver Hicks

Oliver Hicks will attempt to become the first person to row solo around the world. He aims to travel east along the 50’ South line of latitude which will take him from New Zealand heading east passing to the south of Cape Horn and then far below the Cape of Good Hope and finally returning to New Zealand about two years later. This Expedition will be a world first; it has yet to be successfully completed. The row will be the first to take in the worlds three major oceans in one voyage – the Pacific, Atlantic and Indian Oceans. It will be the longest voyage undertaken in a rowing boat.

La Mondial - Leven Brown

Leven Brown is currently at sea attempting to break his own Mid Atlantic speed record of 33 days 7 hours and 30 minutes. The 'Trade Winds' Row from Puerto Morgan Gran Canaria to Port St Charles Barbados started Sunday 4th January 2009 at 18.00hrs. As part of his 14 man team they will need to cover the Distance of 2987 miles 4808 km or 2596 nautical miles by 01.29hrs on 7th February 2009. La Mondiale has had an extensive re-fit and now has super long length Ocean Gliders and Buggies a Spectra watermaker powered by two Max Power marine fuel cells.
